The astern fueling grapnel is used by the receiving ship when retrieving the astern hose rig. It is attached to a 50 foot manila line and thrown across the hose messenger line. When it connects with the hose messenger line grapnel the line is retrieved to bring the astern hose aboard the receiving ship.
The probe remating line/messenger attachment is made to attach to the outboard padeye of the single probe trolley. It is used as an attachment point for the messenger line during in-haul of the probe and an attachment point for the remating line before the messenger is removed by the receiving ships' personnel.
The cargo hook, stream trolley adapter assembly is used with the heavy or lightweight highline trolley for the transfer of stores or cargo.
Assembly includes adapter, cargo safety hook swivel, and cargo safety hook.
The MK20 MOD O hoisting assembly consists of a rigging plate, 3 cargo safety hook swivels, and a cargo safety hook. The assembly is used in the conventional and housefall transfer methods.
The MK20 MOD O cargo safety hook is used in operations where heavy loads are handled. It has a throat opening of 2-1/2" with a spring loaded safety latch that can be latched in the open or closed position.
The 1" standard and stream pelican hooks are lightweight high strength pelican hooks designed to replace the 1", 1-1/8" and 1-3/8" pelican hooks on BUSHIPS drawing number S1801-860234. The stream pelican hook is similar to the standard pelican hook but includes a bail as part of the long link. The pelican hooks provide a quick release attachment for all stream rigs, the wire highline rig (non-tensioned), and all housfall rigs.
The 1/2" pelican hook is used to suspend the riding line fitting from their trolleys and the hose from the free trolley. It provides an easily releasable attachment point.
The 1-3/8" stream pelican hook is similar to the standard pelican hook but also has a 1" diameter bail welded to the underside of the long link. The long link is tested to 50,000 pounds, while the bail is separately tested to 37,000 pounds. It is designed to provide a quick release attachment for all stream rigs, the wire highline rig (non-tensioned), and all housefall rigs. It is typically used with the traveling surf rig, but can be used with other rigs.
